Chengshu Shen started learning about Traditional Chinese painting since the age of 13, and since the age of 17 he has held art shows around the city of Beijing. In his paintings he uses mountains and pine trees a lot, in Chinese culture, they represent Perseverance, Justice and Grit.

在名師指點下，沈承書從１３歲起，就到故宮臨摹歷代珍藏的古畫，打下紮實的基本功。 １７歲起就與導師和會員一起在北京中山公園和青島等地舉辦畫展，受到好評。導師吳鏡仃為此賜字再田，意為沈石田（明代）再世。
