Chengshu Shen over his lifetime received numerous recognitions in his achievements in art and engineering. In 1996, C.S Shen was invited by the State of Minnesota to showcase his paintings. 

He also donated one of his paintings to Breck School for their annual fundraising, a painting that was valued at $5000 in 1993-1994.
